Daily Reflections

The day began with aches and pains, the back, the knees, the neck.
Yet still my spirit meets His each day and asks, "What now, my Lord, to expect?"
For purpose these days comes not from youth, from dreams and selfish schemes
But from the One who knows my days, who guides each day's new themes
From life, these more than seventy years long, I've learned contentment like Paul
To revel in the joy of my Lord, whatever the day's work He calls.
Trust me friend if you read this now and wonder from whince I speak
It's years of searching the road He's laid, each day, each step, I seek
